Why Advertise with iDevGames?

Our focus is game development for Apple’s platforms, which include the Macintosh, iPhone and iTouch. We do promote cross-platform development as well. Our advertisers and sponsors are software, hardware and service companies that serve Apple’s platforms and the game development industry. We do not accept advertisements from online gambling websites and we reserve the right to reject ads from companies that do not share our focus on the previously mentioned markets.

As iDevGames has been online since 1998, we have received accolades and coverage from a wide range of websites including Slashdot.org, Steve Steve Wozniak’s webiste, Apple and many others. iDevGames garnered industry praise in 2000 when we launched a Mac-centric development contest called uDevGames. (www.udevgames.com). This contest has awarded over $100,000 in prizes to independent game developers since 2001. Participants from uDevGames have graduated to professional roles at major software developers such as Freeverse, a leading iPhone and Mac developer.

iDevGames receives 73% of its visits from search engines on average. Searching for terms related to our focus will often result in “first page” links from iDevGames’ content — our great search engine placement translates into more potential click-through visitors to our sponsors and advertiser’s websites. (i.e. quality backlinks). On average, we receive over 5,000 page views a day, though reaching 12,000-20,000 is often the result when we have major new content such as postmortems and product reviews. Our visitors spend an average of 1.40 minutes on iDevGames, though we have been trending over 2 minutes recently. By far, the most popular keyword search that brings us new visitors is ‘iPhone game development’. With this exciting new platform, we’ve seen a steady increase in visits and new members to our community. We forecast that our community will continue to increase as the iPhone continues to dominate the smart phone market.
