I am a newby and I have just made model that I want to put into Animator but
I don't now how to put a model from wing 3d into animator every time I do it a message comes up saying "a material named default has been found. Pleas select a PNG file to be used for this material. The PNG file must be 32-bit and have width and height that are squares of 2(2’4’8’16’32’64’128’256’ect)."I don't know how to change a material into a PNG file I may also be missing something els could someone pleas heeeeeelp??????
it is probably the right size already, so just open it in some painting application, go save as/export and select that file in the animator when it asks you.
You DON'T change the MATERIAL into a png file, you make an image and that is a png file, just to clarify. The image is the texture.
I did what everyone sed but it still didn’t work I export it from wings as a obj file and than go into animator go to file import mesh obj than select it, up comes the scaling thing I say ok than it tells me to select a png file to use as the material but the files are bmp files so I can’t import them what am I doing wrong???????
i thought you could just take bmp files and open them up in some program and save them as png files, nothing happens to me it works every time, i make the material external and once iv finished my bmp texture, i make a png copy. I don't know exactly what you were getting at ccccc, maybe inmy post i should have put "open the bmp file up" instead of just "it"
Mick: You can't use a .bmp file, open it in preview or any image editor and export it to .png

I know what I just said is what you meant, but it was actually what you meant to mean but was harder to understand so I meant to write what you meant to mean and I did.
