It's a guy. I dont really have a texture, i just changed the colors of the polys. I've have no experience at all with textures, so I probably need help or a tutorial for that. =/
Nice avator XD.
What modeler do you use? Do you have GIMP (image editor, free), photoshop (like $400)?

i can tell it in a very small tutorial how to make textures like i did on the hand:

first you need the uvmap with the wireframe. a gray background is neutral and nice. the wireframe should be white (highlight edges).

second, i always draw some lines for contours that it takes some kind of shape.
then, i fill all closed areas with the color.

everything else is hand "painted" with the smudge tool. Wink

but since the newest happenings i use to work with a different technique.

some more tips for creating hand models & textures:
you need to learn drawing hands. practice, practice, practice.

i was 15 at this time, very bad study, but its the only one ive got online. Wink
Off-topic: No offense but that hand looks very chubby. Rolleyes

Thanx for the tips though, I practice drawing in my spare time, so that will help.
Maybe there is some way I can scan my hand and use that as a texture. XD
