The only thing I know how to do is model, but my models are useless if I don't have any textures. And I have no idea where to begin.

Please help...
What some people do is to color everything in and then add a whole lot of detail.
What do you want to texture?
Well I'm making Ryu from Street Fighter 3, so I need him textured
Who is Ryu? Is he already UV mapped?
UV mapped?

@Auuman Anubis:
The first thing to do (after modeling him) is UV-mapping the model so the engine knows what part of the texture goes where.
There is a tutorial somewhere on the forum about UV-mapping.
After doing that, you will have to paint the texture in an app like Photoshop or Gimp.

EDIT: Tutorial: http://homepage.mac.com/rplayne/.Public/WingsBasics.zip
I use blender's texture baker for most parts. Only a few things like windows, headlights and logos are done manually. It takes some knowledge of Blender and it's material system, though.
I work with blender, but I have know idea about how to use it's material system.

And thanks for the tutorial, I'll check it out.
Use blenders tutorials too.
You can access them in the application.
I just read the tutorial, and it helps a lot! Thanks! One more question though. How should I cut the model? The tutorial uses a gun as an example, but with a human mesh how should I do it, what-with the roundness of the muscles and all?
