I have no clue at all how to make the models. Specifically, I want to know how to make the bitmaps that you import.
You dont make models in d3. Get wings and gimp. make model in wings. learn to uv map in wings. export open in gimp, paint and export as png. import .obj in d3a and import map. voila!
i am a total noob, so I don't know how to do any of that stuff Sad

edit:It would be great also if anyone knew where I could find a tutorial.
Lol, Orixa, you didn't really explain it :P.
Dim3 doesn't make models, you have to get a modeler.
2 FREE modelers:
http://www.wings3d.com
http://www.blender.com

I recomend wings for a beginner Wink. Download it and we'll help you learn to use it Smile. (theres nothing WRONG with wings, don't think it limits you or it won't make good models. Good models depend on you skill. Blenders just a bit harder to learn.)

Also, do you have photoshop (image editor)? If not, just get GIMP. It's FREE and almost as good, I use it and don't see the point in paying $400 for photoshop Wink.
We'll also help you with that Wink.

http://www.gimp.org
I already have all 3 of those programs, so whats next?

HAHAHAHHHHAHAHHHHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA!!
*gasp*
@Orixa, I know you mean well but that really isn't helpful. Wink

masterme120,
1: Dim3 animator is not a 3D modeler. (people always think it is so this just to let you know)
2: Like ccccc said, we can help you with whatever you need help with.
3: You should look up some tutorials for Wings.
4: Keep in mind that learning this stuff takes time so don't get disappointed if your stuff doesn't look like Halo 3's stuff.Wink
Wings: Well, first of all go to the preferences and make sure the mouse setting is set to whatever type of mouse you have Wink. Then, right click (or ctrl click if you only have a one button mouse), you'll see a menu of things you can do. Make a box, try extruding some faces and play around, see what everything does.
okay... now what?
What?
You have to actually ask something Wink. What are you asking?
Just so yall know, its gimp.org not .com

Next, if you haven't done so already, download the users manual from website. Try doing the hand and dog house tutorials.
