The glass textures and HoloDeck lighting effects of the 72ex version of Awnee are
amazing-are these done through scripting or is this work possible through the dim3
editor? Going through the HoloDeck.js script of Awnee-I don't see scripts that are
resulting in this work (not experienced in scripting). If this is the result of scripting-
are there any specific scripts that could be detailed for the transparency and lighting
effects?

Could you post a screenshot? I don't know what exactly you are talking about.
In Awnee-its the clear glass floors that reveal red reactor animations and yellow computer chip textures also the HoloDeck halo effects that may be scripting or change in source code? Thanks

Will have to setup an account today to upload pictures.

I've never played Awnee, but if you are just talking about transparencies, you can do that by adding an alpha channel to your texture. What program are you using to create textures?

... or set the alpha in the segment settings to something other than 1.0.

Right now, currently, in 2.2 there is no transparencies sorting, so like Eddie you'll have to be a bit clever about how you lay down transparencies. 2.3 will have fixes for all that (the next beta, actually.)

Working in Photoshop and will work the alpha side of it. Sounds like there's an angle
in the texture editor that Eddie used-will have to go over. Will set up a Photobucket
account and upload some screenshots-there are some great room size particle and
lighting effects used in Awnee-techniques that would be great to apply. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. You could try using specular/glow maps or use a shader, but I think awnee just uses transparencies. btw, awnee uses a slightly modified version of the engine, just so you know Wink.
I see-a alpha value of .25 in the Segment Settings gives a nice transparency-nice.
