I'm preparing another beta for 2.3; it's got a LOT of bug fixes, a LOT of long standing requests and a lot of new stuff.
At the same time, I'm working on all the new mesh/collision stuff and it's coming along pretty well. The problem with that stuff is it's going to be a BIG change that will require you maps to be updated and changed so they will be completely incompatible with older versions.
So, I'm going to take what I have for 2.3 and release it as a final.
Here's where you guys come in. When I put out the next beta I need it tested as well as possible. The reason is for your benefit, once this goes out there won't be any new versions that aren't production ready or won't be full of a lot of new bugs during the change-over. If you don't catch something, you're going to be stuck for a while.
