I really need some help with this. Thanks guys
This is really in the wrong forum section.
It should be in "Showcase"
No offense, but where are people getting
the idea that they can make a game with no scripting?
Just wont happen.
Sorry for gunning you down, just lettin' out the steam.
Of course its a good idea to use dim3!
That soon?
No.
Do a small project before you make a game like that:

Thats what someone that has no concept
of the work that it takes to make a game would say.
A good place to start is the story.

I'm sorry, but GIVE UP RIGHT NOW if your not going to program.
"CAN'T LEARN"?? Anyone can learn, programming is EASY, do you want me to teach you

?
Done by may 2008?
Now, if it's not a big game that might be possible, really depends. The problem is that you have to learn:
3d modeling
animating
texturing
map design
interface designing
scripting
I'll be glad to help you learn all these things, all of us would, but if you refuse to script you might as well leave. You don't have to script right now, you can do that later if you want! But you'll have to eventually

.
Thanks for everything anyway! I'll figure something out.

Don't confuse programming with scripting. Scripting is fairly simple and involves using java script. Pretty much anything you want to do with dim3 can be accomplished with scripting. Programming involves programming languages such as C++ and is much more complicated. You can use programming to make your own game engine or modify the dim3 source code, but it's not necessary.

As others have said, before you start anything of the sort of the complexity your talking about, make a simple game. Entirely to teach yourself how to do it.
Often, it's good to copy an existing simple game, so you can compare how your doing. Pong is often used. This will not, (obviously) be a good one in dim3.
What is good? Zombies. Particularly a little game called Kill Dr. Cote. You can look at it here:
http://www.justinfic.com/games/ I love that game.
Now I'm not talking about the game itself, but the gameplay, that you should try to emulate, in the form of a first person shooter. Small enclosed space, basic enemy behavior, varied weapons, all very simple, and very fun.
Now obviously, you don't have to do what I say, but personally I think it's a good way to start.
Oh, and good god man, remove some of the O's from your other thread title immediately! There are children here!

I've made small games but without programming. That my problem. I WILL TRY TO LEARN TO PROGRAM AND WILL DO IT!!!
