Well, i have a server, and i don't know what to do with it, and so i decided i would host a dim3 game on it.

I want that to be the only server people can connect to on my game, so it is like an MMORPG. i have high bandwidth on my connection so it will be able to hold a lot.

so how will i make it the only one?

also another question:

how could i become a server moderator, so in game i could kick out users for saying bad stuff in multiplayer talk, and i would also have a little star next to where i say stuff.

like runescape and the crown.
If you don't give people the server app they won't be able to host a game (unless they are smart like me and get in from klink's site and make a server just to annoy you :P.). As Brian would say, average Joe doesn't know the server app even exists and won't try hosting a server.

As for a server moderator, when your ingame you can see what people say, and when your not you can see using the server app/site. I don't know how to kick people out though :|.
If you want to be the only server you can possibly have some file that the server requires, but that the release version of the game (the one the players use) doesn't have. That way even if they download the server app they can't run a server for your game. I reccomend asking brian to include something in dim3 where you can assign your game a code of some kind, a server must use this code to be a (insert game here) server. Smile
Right now there's a real lack of moderation tools in server -- there's no passwords, block lists, ability to kick out, etc. That's something I need to be able to get to. That said, there's no way anybody is going to FIND your server unless you tell them where it is, and if it's behind a firewall you can block IPs from there (if worse comes to worse.)

This is something I need to work on.
