Good job, ya'll.
Wow, nice work everybody. Smile
Well...I'll be doggoned! I though Bink was going to get first place!
Bink: Nice textures! They have a very nice look. Wonderful base.
ccccc: I understand that you had to rush but couldn't you have added a little more detail? Smile Just kidding.
GordonCSS: Nice job! For someone who just started texturing thats a nice start!
To tell the truth, I actually forgot about the contest a few days before Christmas! :P
Great contest everyone!
I think that my textures were better considering the "technical" part. They look awesome ingame with a displacement shader or bump + specular map.
You totally deserved the first place though, because your textures are much more detailed and more original than mine. I like them. Nothing I would use in my game, but certainly good textures.
ccccc: Your textures need more detail. They look very plain. They might look good ingame though, depending on where you use them. (They'd probably be good for a bunker or something like that.)
Gordon CSA: I don't really know what to think about your textures. They look... different. They are certainly not bad but not like anything I've seen before. (Which is a good thing! Originality! YAY!)
I was also surprised Bink's didn't get first, I really prefer the sharp look they have. But It's true Patrick's are loaded with detail. Smile
*groan* Tell me about it. I worked on getting the door and wall textures seamless for up to 5 or 6 hours!
My textures would probably look pretty good in the editor with a bump+spec+glow. I don't know though.
It was a great contest though. We should have more contests!! [Image: grin.gif]
You bet Bink! Contests are fun! Maybe something I can participate in next time. Smile
Maybe a 3D modeling contest? We haven't had one of them yet.
