A big problem I have run into is trying to make a curb for a road that drops at an
angle eleveation; the road drops down a hill and want a curb to run down with it. I can rotate walls and primitives from side to side, but can't figure how to
rotate them up and down so the wall or primitive can parallel the road's angle.
With a floor, I can drag a point in any direction, but with a wall or primitive, can't
drag the corner points-only the height and length handles. Will read documentation
tonight. Am I missing a tool or key command here? Thanks_giantrock73
It's not possible right now.
Walls are always vertical and cannot be rotated on the x or z axis.
Was starting to think this but thought there's got to be a workaround. Can a floor section be shifted into a wall? Will try. This feature would give an architectural edge
-would coding a variable floor polygon be much more than a variable wall polygon?
Will try working with the floor polygons_Thanks_giantrock73
You can take a floor section and shift all the corners into a wall or vertical polygon
to get all the angles needed off the horizontal. The only thing screwed up is the
texture which as the off-side planar stretch look-but it works. giantrock73
Wait for the new editor. I think that will fix your problem and allow you to create the maps you want.
Thanks-will look forward to the new editor. giantrock73
you can use wall clipping. Select a wall piece and press "cmnd+k" then choose top triangle. then you can stretch the triangle down the whole hill to fill in all the space, or use smaller triangles if the hill has a curve. I'd recommend waiting for the new editor though, you'll get better results for less work.

Keep doing what you are doing now, it'll all translate up, but the new version will answer all your problems. I just don't know how long it's going to take to tear all the bugs out.

Shifting floor sections into position basically works so will keep on that. Look
forward to the new editor up ahead. Also will try importing .obj this week for
landscapes as that could be another altenative. Thanks_giantrock73
Also try hightmaps for landscapes Wink.
