After the mesh stuff is done (finished, debugged, tested, etc), my next goal is ALL networking. It's a little tricky as it depends a lot of your network setup, but the goal is to try to get it as simple as possible.
That'll be one of the last "big holes" that gives people a lot of problems that doesn't have an easy fix.

I think you should have a chat with one of the network engineers at one of the real game companies, like Bungie. I bet they could give you some help with getting networking going. Actually, I think, whats-his-name, Luke Timmins (aka Froman) works on just that sort of thing over there. If I remember right, they totally had to re-build Halo 2's networking code from scratch, because Halo 1's networking code worked out very poorly.
Whatever though. Get that Mesh stuff done!
My code is very solid and fast -- the problem is, unlike places like Bungie, I can't test it out on the millions of different setups ESPECIALLY as almost everybody has routers/switches with all sorts of settings on them that can cause all sorts of havok.
