ok THIS is a dim3 thread.
with lego digital designer i have made a lot.
now i wanna make all the game stuff there like guns characters and levels.
how to import it as what i want it to be?
also how can i import a LDD file and let it be a level at 1 2 3?
or to a player?
Dim3 does not support LDD files. And an internet search determines that there is not a script offered for blender that imports such files. Many of your questions are very vague and seem very simple. If you play around with the demo, you can answer many of them yourself. Also, the makers of LDD will probably be upset if they knew you were using their art for your game.
Silverlit, what's your email address? I would PM you here but I can't because you have set it to not let me.
Thanks.
Patrick
I would not reccomend using any Lego elements in a dim3 game or any other sort of game. LDD is intended for use with the LEGO Factory, not as a 3d modeling program. If you want that there's a program called L-Draw, which is windows only I think.
What Durandalski said. Actually, I think there's also a Mac version called Bricksmith, but I think it can only export to POV-Ray.
Anyway, I'd discourage using LDraw's creators' art, and I suggest simply modelling from scratch. Lego-based 3D models are very difficult to pin down, anyway, and a standard Lego minifigure hardly has any articulation, which is not what you want in a game.
Plus, LDD sucks. It doesn't include many of the parts that Lego normally manafactures, which is kind of a bad thing. If you want Lego models with the purest pieces possible, use LDraw-based programs or build 'em by hand.
Or you can make a lego model on Wings3D/Blender and put it in :D
