Feature Requests:
Different chat channels- In multiplayer, have team chat activated by Y, or whatever, and it only shows text to team. (I badly need this in the game I am working on.)
Colored Names - Like in Quake 3.

Bug Report-
Dim3 Version: 2.3b8
I have made a fairly large map, and designated two portals as team bases. When I ran it in multiplayer, dim3 crashed. Really crashed. I tried a force quit, which didn't do anything. I put it to sleep and turned it on again. Nothing. I finally restarted my computer. I have no idea why this happened. It loads the map, spawns you in a completely black area, with the HUD showing, and then crashes.
Hope this is just a minor problem.

Never mind for the bug. I fixed it.
Just curious, what was the problem that caused the freeze?

I second the chatting thing. A team chat button is standard, afaik, in multiplayer games now.
I found out I was using the wrong spot names, and the code put dim3 into an infinite loop. lol.

I also found I was accidentally pressing the wrong buttons for a force quit. :D Some Mac user I am.

Yeah, the team chat thing will be important, and I'd also like to be able to make it so two teams can have the same chat. On some levels, there will be a VIP team, a terrorist team, and a team defending the safe zone in multiplayer. Would be nice if the VIP team and defending team could have the same channel. Not really needed, but it would be nice. Smile
That's actually a good idea, again (same old song), I'll try to work it in after the mesh stuff is done.

No problem. We are shooting for a 2009 finish (I was going to say release, but we are not going to sell it. Smile) anyway, so I don't need it for a long time.
