Hey, I'm a few days into using dim3 and having no luck at even starting to make my character. I've made a simple figure out of bones that are all connected but I don't know how to make vertices, add texture, or any of that stuff. And I can't find anything to show me how to do it. Please help!!

First of all, the animator isn't a 3D modeler. You don't make anything in it but animations.

What you need to do is download a 3D modeler and make your character. Then export it into .obj format and import it into the animator. (thats a little ahead right now though)

Here is some very good 3D modeling software. Completely free.

When you download the application[s], you can ask us about problems in the 3D modeling help forum.
Remember, start with a cube and work from there.

For some reason the blender website is down. It'll probably be back up pretty soon.
Good luck!

Remember to check the docs (open the dim3 docs folder and then open the index.html in a web browser), there's lots of useful info there, including a animator tutorial.
[EDIT]Remember, character modeling like any other art takes skill, it'll be a while before you get anything professional. Wink
