It can't be that hard to do, right? Smile

Nope, I'll look into it. That's one thing that's good about the UV saved with the mesh, it allows baked-in lighting a lot easier.

Update: I've added per-mesh high lighting. Now you can turn off lighting on a per-mesh basis. This should help with baked textures.

I've also got a rudimentary "hole punching" system down for polygons.

Need some more work on physics and I'll pass out the next beta.

Just a little reminder ... While there is a main menu when I open 2.5b3, there is none in 2.5b4. Maybe in the next release could you please lay something out to learn? Since there are no buttons to press I don't know what to do, Cmd-Q does not do anything, only a blind Cmd-Alt-Esc + Return does.
Bug Report: Marks (from weapons) do not work on vertical segments. Also, we need decals or a easy way to line up a segment perfectly to use as a decal (arrow keys).
[EDIT]and segment darkening won't work. :|

That's because you don't have a data folder in there, or some files are missing from it.
In fact I have, but it was the 2.2 one :D

Yup, I know about that one, but segment darkening I thought worked. Decals are broken and will be for a while.

The numbers are there, but it doesn't show up. Open the demo map, do you see segment darkening? If so maybe it's my comp (macBook)....
[EDIT]Brian, an export option that saves UVs and materials would be awesome.... you could make your map in editor, then when your entirely done export it and bake the shadows in blender. Smile
Or I could just wait for some dim3 specular map and raytracing fixes....
[EDIT2]Just noticed that raytracing doesn't even turn on....
[EDIT3]an option to determine how easily things become specular would make dim3 lighting amazing.....
I don't know if this has been asked or anything but could you make it easier to have multiple maps for multiplayer because I still don't know how to do that. maybe something like you drag it into a folder and it appears into a list.
Also can there be an option to not have to have textures in the animator. Maybe like if you press no it will go to a default grey. I don't know if these are possible or have been mentioned or anything or are even possible. I'm relatively new to this so I wouldn't know.

Again, This is beta software! Back everything up! and Engine is not done, it's usable but needs lots of work.

* added mesh resize option (typed in %s)

* added reset UVs to polygon menu
* editor drawing respects dark factors

Engine
* many fixes to general movement collision
* rotating objects rotate the objects standing on them
* meshes can be highlighted (good for baked lighting)
* settable keyboard turn speed (obj.turnSpeed.key, 1.8 is default)

I'm hoping that with this version Editor is close to being beta but production ready.

Missing parts in Engine: Physics not done yet, crushing, decals and shadows broken, multiplayer broken, more work on scaled interface.
