After the next beta, it'll be all physics work, and then I'll try to get windows builds up the same time I put up OS X builds.
I have in object spawning/removing. My test was to make JoeFoe spawn a clone everytime he took damage. Shooting in his general direction with the machine gun created a horde of JoeFoes without a lot of slow down (for spawning, not 100 active JoeFoes on the screen

), so it looks like this will work well.
There's a LOT of under the hood changes that nobody will notice, but it's preparation for the future. A lot of network changes and a lot of object creation/deletion changes.

Can we override an obj's uv in the editor, so we can place the textures normally? Because, uv-mapping a really complex map is very difficult.
No it's not. Use blender's auto UV.
Ok, I'll look it up on google.
This is the model. It's big and it has a detailed inside.

THE WEIRD LOOKING IMAGE BELOW IS NOT A PAGE ERROR! IT IS A SCREENSHOT! CONTINUE WITHOUT ALARM!

Does anybody know how this happens? It's weird.
Ryan, I think he might be talking about the weird looking edges. You get it when you zoom out a lot.

Three ways:
1) Leave UV as imported
2) Let editor set the UV on a map-basis (the old auto-uv, will work for general maps but probably won't be good for professional type maps)
3) Do it by hand in editor (through the mesh setting dialog). This is probably the most time-consuming way
So, the answer is yes

I have a request; it hopefully wouldn't be too hard to implement. I for one think it would be really cool to have more environmental effects other than rain, such as snow and the like. Can't have an arctic map without snow....
Yeah um just change the color for the rain...
Is that right? I didn't know there WAS a bitmap for the rain effect; I have been less than successful at finding it....
Do you mean edit the size of the drops?
There's no bitmap for the rain. teh1ghool is talking bullshit again. As usual. :P
I wish there was one (or more) though... Brian?
An extra option in the rain settings that allows us to select a bitmap (stored in Bitmaps/Weather/ or something) to use as rain would be great.
