This is mostly editor work, Editor still wasn't good enough and that has to get fixed first.

Bink: I was able to successfully complete your import. There's a new tool that will help snap pieces together; select two polygons in two meshes that will be next to each other and use the new "snap closest vertex". Once I had all the importing/grid fixes, this made it very easy to put your map together. Please take a look and tell me how it's workings.

I know there's a lot of stuff for Engine (speculars are disabled right now) but I have to get to this stuff first. I'm also thinking of a new rendering path I want to try out so I wanted to get out another copy before that.

Animator
* fixed a bug where combo boxes were broken in animation settings
* added bones to sounds + flashes
* auto-update flash intensity to new map units (might need to hand reset some of these)
* removed unused texture specular settings

Editor
* improved library OBJ loader/scaler
* fix importer flipping z coordinates
* removed unused map-level specular option
* removed unused texture specular setting
* better arrangement in pieces menu
* multiple snaps, mesh level, poly level, and all vertexes
* library objects are only snapped to mesh level
* new "snap to closest vertex" command
* better view switch arrows

Engine
* more tweaks to table graphics
* speculars are currently disabled (being rewritten)

This one includes a data folder. There might be missing files or bugs, but it's good enough to get the files you need out of it.

I was able to put the map together within seconds.
One request: Could you add more resizing options for portals? Like scale to model units like in animator? That would be great. Smile

I have 3 textures to this model. How do I apply all three? It wants to make all 3 into one map.

Scaling up locks UVs when selected, but scaling down doesn't. The UCs don't scale back down. Also UVs aren't locked on initial import model scale.

--Edit -- and damn, I'm getting like 2fps.

That isn't Dim 3 lighting is it, Bink? If it's the texture then what if you go under it? Your gun won't be shaded. But it sure looks cool.

The map is highlighted, so it's always at full brightness.
There are lights placed in the map that affect models (like the gun for example).
It's all taken care of. :P
The only thing bugging me are those black lines everywhere. Can't get C4D to bake it without them.
Heh, you set a high standard for us, Bink. :£ I didn't notice the black lines but I see em now. Maybe there's something wrong with the uv-map.

Dim3 2.3.8

∆ The editor quits sometimes when I try to delete a mesh.
∆ The lights seem to be acting up, a light that is set to 1000 only lights up a little.

There's no way without splitting the model up (like Bink has done.)

You lost me here, can you explain this again? Do you mean when scaling a mesh in Editor? It should never change the UVs if it's locked (regardless of size) -- it only changes if you have auto-texturing on.

Can you send me the project? You've probably run into a very specific bug or optimization problem.

Side note to Alex -- Texture rotating will make a come back next beta; I just needed to get in the fixes into Editor that Bink's been finding.
