Brian. Because of how Anim Blending behaves I am very pissed at the animator. I want to to blend my upper body anims and my lower body anims without the fact that the poses that are unset (0,0,0,1,1,1) making all my lowers move half as much. I propose an 'Unset' flag in the pose settings that is default checked and a shortcut key will uncheck. That way any bone that you want to effect anim blending will be unchecked with the shortcut key and placed in the correct position for the pose. Here are some pictures I have made in photoshop. Hope you understand.

Also, any bone that is moved 0 should automatically NOT effect animation blending. Right now, it does somehow....
No that's not good. That totally defeats the purpose on an 'unset' flag.
I get what your saying but not quite sure about the mechanics.

When you set this flag, does it mean that the movement is ALWAYS ignored when blended with any other animation? So, if you had animation that moved bones A,B,C, and set the flag on B:

(1) if you are playing ONLY this animation, then A,B,C are used
(2) if you combine this animation with any other, only A,C are used

This would be pretty easy to do.

That is correct. That is exactly how I would like it. Anim blending is rather pointless without this!
teh1ghool: Sorry if this is a little of topic, but is animation blending supposed to squish the model the way it does sometimes? (try blending a dead pose with a standing just to see what I mean)
If not, I think there's something wrong with Brian's algorithm, if so then I need to go find an article on animation blending. Smile
I have already demonstrated this. I believe he has fixed it for the next release.
