I really like dim3, and think it is a great tool. The one drawback I can see is that it is a little hard to get started. For the benefit of all who are new to dim3, it would be nice to have some tutorials on creating simple player/AI/weapon scripts with animated models. Also, some simple map making tutorials would be nice.
If anyone could create some, that would be wonderful.
Thanks for reading!
EDIT: The tutorial should cover APIs and their role/use, as I had some trouble with those
Have you read the docs? I'm not disagreeing that tutorials would be helpful, as they
would be helpful, but the docs are great for the API and also have instructions on the editor and animator.

I used the docs to get started, and it wasn't too hard, but it would be easier and faster if you had a tutorial to start on.

Sounds like a silly question, but have you checked the tutorial section on the forum?

I knew someone would ask this. The tutorials in the forum right now are for more advanced things, like bullet casings and bleeding enemies. The tutorials I am suggesting are for basic things, that would help people just starting with programming/dim3.

You're right, we do need some basic level tutorials, however they take a while to make, and often we're just too busy to do them.
I for one am too busing playing Angband...
Bink ccccc (sorry about that, thanks type) has a basic scripting tutorial, but thats more about the workings of javascript. I assume your meaning more a decent API manual...
I might actually try to put together something like that...
Thats CCCCC's scripting tut, i think. Dimwit made a editor tut somewhere.
