Meshwork isn't very good. In fact, it's not good at all––I hate it. (With a passion) It doesn't even to compare with Wings 3d or Blender.

You can find out what formats Wings can import for yourself. Just open it up and go to import. Rolleyes
ok thx for the advice i'll try o avoid it. Well I got the .3ds models and they go into wings but whenever I try to import it into animator it asks me for textures but I can never find the textures so it says no texture found and it closes on me.Sad How do I fix this?

heres another view.
please tell me anyways to make better or any problems I don't care what you say it was my first model.Wink
Hm.... too many polygons. You should use the stick of course, but where you have all those little polygons, you should use two rectangular polygons with partially transparent textures of wheat.

The polygons should crossover each over like a big +, remember you're going to have a lot of wheat in a field or anywhere really, so it needs to be quite low poly. Even the most advanced games go easy on the polygons for foliage and wheat and things that like.
Alex: I was going to post that about 8 hours ago but fell asleep. lol
shooks: He's right. Most games wouldn't even use models, but just single polygons with a texture. It's a lot faster.

First, open the animator. Then click "CANCEL" then go to the top menu bar and click "NEW" And after you've put the name in , go to "IMPORT" and then (If your model is in OBJ format) click on OBJ.
Then I select the model I want to import.
Then it tells me that it has either: Found a default texture for the model, or found multiple textures for the model.
Then I select the right texture.

After that I set the size and then hey presto, my model w/texture. =)

Edit
By the way, texture have to be in PNG format. You can export an image into PNG format with Preview.
Strong hammer: You have leapord don't you?
Everybody: Ok... How do I get a texture for wheat? DO I just use a photo of normal wheat and make it semi transparent? Im sorry I'm asking such noobish questions. I'm new to all of this.
It doesn't matter how you get the texture, as long as the result looks good.
You can use a photo or paint it yourself. It all depends on what you want it to look like and how much work you want to put into it.
I guess no professional would model a wheat plant in 3D, but rather do it in 2D, i.e. a lot of single polys with a texture.
If I have the time, I might make you a wheat model. I have blender on my school computer (And wings too now) so if I finish all my work in time I will start on a model. That i highly unlikely, as I doubt I will finish all my work on time XD!
