Full Version: Windows Binary bugs (2.2)

Hi guys,

There are a number of bugs in the windows binary of Dim3 v2.2. The first and foremost being that you can't run the engine! at startup, you get an error message saying that pthreadVC2.dll cannot be found, even though it's in the same folder as the dim3engine.exe file (or whatever it's called). The second big issue is that the game crashes if you try to change any of the video settings from the defaults (that is, from the lowest settings).

How do I go about fixing these? Remember, this is the Windows Binary I'm talking about.

That's odd, I swear I've tested all those. I'm now on an Intel mac, and there's a lot of work in the code base, so I'll be checking these out as I get closer to the new version. I might also put out some windows binaries (of the new stuff) to test long before it's finished to get debugging information like this.

If you'd like to put up a windows beta of the 2.5 engine once you have multiplayer fixed, I would greatly appriciate it.
Are you trying to run a 2.5 data folder? That will throw it off.

No. All the current work is being done in 2.2. I'm staying clear of 2.5 until the engine is more usable.
Yeah, I'd like a windows beta for 2.5. ALOT of the maps the two level designers are creating have ladders, so I can make them in 2.5, but can't play them on Windows in multiplayer.
