It would be great to be able to just select vertices in the animator, choose "Make mesh" to add a mesh that contains the selected vertices (which are then deleted from the original mesh)
A dialog would be nice with options like Reset Position (moves the new mesh to 0,0,0), keep original (doesn't delete the old vertices) etc.
I'd love to just be able to model an enemy and add all the weapons to the model right away without having to import/add/place later.
EDIT: Something that also would be nice would be attaching bones to other bones by script.
Example: You create a mesh for a characters sword and add a bone to the handle. Then you just tell it to attach the handle of the sword to the hand of the player and the sword will automatically move and rotate just like the hand. That would be great.
