I like it, send me the files. I'm thinking of starting the demo over again and make something "spacey", i.e., it's easy to get good mechanical/space textures then it is to get stone type textures.
Also, it'll give me a good debug base for both Editor and Engine.

Good idea Brian. In the future sometime, we need to have in the default data that you download with a full release, three environments: A fantasy environment, a real world inviourment, and a sci fi environment.

No, sorry, not yet, I'm attempting a rewrite of major rendering code so whatever is making it slow will probably disappear, anyway. Again, sorry, I'll get back to that once I get further on this.

Are these brand NEW textures or versions of the doom3 texture set (i.e., not re-distributable.) If they are all new, I was thinking of emailing the guy if I could use them. If re-makes, then nope.

It says it's an enhancement pack, which means he probly just make the tiny files bigger and then spiffed them up in PS.
I did some experiments with rendering/creating bump maps in C4D.

The light travels from left to right. This is probably what the ideal solution should be like.

Brian, if you want to test something, why don't you Google Quake 4 texture packs, or Doom 3 texture packs? There's lots of people who have made very good packs that might let you use them.
Bink, isn't a normal map different from a bump map?
