I downloaded the Doom 3 demo. (Brian was using some doom3 bump maps to test so I thought I check out how they were supposed to look.)
Well, doom 3 won't play any sound. :\
Anyone else had this problem/know a way to fix this?
Um, might help if we knew whether or not you were playing on a G3 Wallstreet or a 8-Core Mac Pro.
And whether or not your sound is off in the prefs. xD
Yes, the sound is on in the prefs and for the comp. :P
I'm on an intel core duo macbook with 2 gigs of ram, 2GHz, a hard drive with around 250 gigs or something and about 201 gigs of free space.

still runs slow.
It's not UB. That's why it runs slow.
Oh wait... you said MacBook... not MacBook Pro, right? How about getting a real computer instead?
Maybe that will fix your sound problem.
If I could afford another computer, I would.

MacBook? Ugh, no offense, but MacBooks don't even have a real graphics card. Just some kind of CPU accelerated integrated chip. No wonder it's slow.

The demo isn't UB, but the full version has a UB patch.

If anyone else has this problem, all you have to do is open the audio midi setup and change the output to 16 bit.
[EDIT]Whoa! It's actually really fast. (well, fast for all the directional lights and bump mapping) I'm defiantly buying this game....
Waste of money. Gets boring after the first couple hours.
