Another suggestion that isn't very important, just something for the infamous list. 
Well, it would be nice if halos could have an option to be additive. If you try to use it for a glare, and you make it yellow or such, it looks odd because it makes bright things behind it darker, not lighter:

Also, this hurts my eyes:

And, last of all it would be nice to have some kind of option to use facefoward as and optimization. iow, the object faces towards you, on xy and z, not just y. Then my sun wouldn't be squished.
Again, I understand there are more important things. Just a few ideas.
