I can easily imagine that making characters is the most difficult part of making a game. They're far more detailed that the simple weapon in hand models.

My big question is whether or not Wings 3d is capable of such models?

If it is any tips or helps would be eppriciated.

It's not that hard. I think the most I can offer in terms of tips is to learn how to model, and to learn anatomy, so you get the form right.

I'm pretty good at modeling, machines at least. Organic forms are a bit trickier but i think i could manage. The hardest part will probably be the face, and the anatomy that you mentioned. I saw some models that looked like football players at the top because the shoulders were too high.

look at http://www.wings3d.com, then go to the forum and click showcase. this should answer your question :D!!!!!
Try Makehuman, it is really good but you have to reduce the polys in blender before you can use it in a game.(I have discovered that if you simplify the body a LOT, you can make easy clothes.
This is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY old Smile.
The names are black because the forum was hacked a long time ago and we all had to re register.
Anyway, makehuman makes really high poly models, its better to just learn to model a character Wink.
Yes, but you could make a close outline of the character you want, and use it as reference...
Or you could draw it Smile.
And you don't need to be some super artist to draw a rough outline Wink.
