I could really use some help, even like a simple demo of some sort to explain how to use the animator. I have no idea where to even begin.
hi redjoe! funny how i'm seeing you on all the forums that i go to...
go to documentation and open the index, then click on animator.
ALways nice to know you have the easy answers, for a second there I thought you were trying ot teach me how to OPEN the program . . .
As ccccc said, read through the docs (not that long), as that gives an overview of what animator does, how it does it, and some pointers.

Note that the first thing is said is Animator is not a modeler; it has modeling functions but that's just for convience. You design your models in another program (for example, a free one used by a lot of people here is Wings3D, and teh1ghool wrote a very nice tutorial on that.)

Once you have a model, export it into a uv-mapped mesh OBJ and then import it into Animator.

Whatever more specific questions you have, we can follow up after that.

Ya ccccc I definetly can't figure out where your trying to point me to.

- Nevermind, I'm an idiot . . . some reason it didn't occur to me to look in the proram files . . .
Whooosh right over my head.
dim3 folder<documentation<index<animator Smile.

brian: he uses wings 3d, i saw him on that forum with some NICE models Smile.
OI VE (Lawl)

Actually, ccccc, it's:

Dim3 Folder>Documentation>index.html>Animator

Yo got the greater-than/less-than reversed. Smile
oops, do i always do that :D?
Thx for the praise
Anyway the "manual" that comes with the program is more like a reference sheet. It just tells me what stuff does, not how to do it. In other words . . . "This button is for bones . . ." Wow thanks but how do I use them? Etc...Etc...Etc....
