Full Version: please help me, black squares appear on character

i made a new character but when i import her into the game, while playing the game, al these sqaures aooear on her Sad.

Do you have a screenshot of this? And does it only appear in the engine, but not in animator?

i just noticed what's happening: those aren't really black squares, they're wholes, why would random faces get deleted from my model when i put it in the engine? this is NOT my textures, i have a SOLID image behind the texture except one spot where i erased it so the hair would be partly transparent. this ONLY happens in the engine, do you have any idea what's going on? it looks HORRIBLE.
This happens to me, as well. Try out that sniper gun I amde for you, Brian. When I tried doing it in the Animator, it creates holes everywhere. I know the normals are all perfect, as it was made in Wigns3d... Why then? Is it inverting normals when importing? Sad

No, it happens in the animatior, hence the topic being in "Animator" section. Smile But in realty, it happens in both. Smile

teh1ghool, I loaded up your sniper gun in animator but I didn't see any black spots. Is there a specific place I should look?

Not *black* spots, pay attenton! (lawl) They're holes in the model. Faces that just disappear. It's all over my sniper gun. Sad
it couldn't be the computer could it? i mean come on! i have models with the same size textures and way more polygons and it doesn't happen to them!
i'll try it on my macbook...
teh1ghool: what computer do you have and how much space does it have? i don't have to much left on my iMac...
I once made my car with a texture with an alpha channel, and everything got messed up. Simple solution: use a separate texture with alpha for the faces that should be partially transparent.
