I use Wings3D and If someone could help me out it will save me ALOT of time and memory space. So this all started after I finished texturing my mp5 and modeling it to a decent state. In the model I have multiple materials, three of which use UAV-Mapped textures (I am going to reduce this to two soon). The other materials DO NOT use textures and are just plain-old colors. Now, when I export the .wings to .obj and try to import it into Animator I am forced to pick a texture for ALL of my materials, including the ones that are not textured at all! Can Animator only accept textured materials? Is there some way to make it accept them, or am I gonna just have to make textures of a single color (a huge waste of memory and a pretty ridiculous work-around) ?. The manual references wings3d for modeling with dim3 but I find it's not very compatible at all.
Currently u just use a xtremely small tex (2x2 or so) of a single color. If it's not a single color, Animator tends to take an 'average' of the texture, i think.
why dont you just use one texture? and anyway somthing tht is one flat shade doesnt shade well in dim3 anyway

If you have all the normals right and turn on diffuse lighting, it will.

I guess I'll just have to redo the textures for model then...
I have an older version of dim3 and what i do is create multiple objects in wings. (in still one file though) Then the animator asks if the different objects should have different textures or not. This may or may not be true for v. 2.1
why aren't you using 2.1?
2.1 ROCKS!!!
because i am currently working on a game. I don't want to have to redo it just to upgrade.
You probbly don't have to redo. Just change a few things. I strongly advise upgrading -- it's worth-while.

just replace your data folder with the demo

, you don't have to change anything, VERY RARLEY does brian DELETE a feture, so you shouldn' have to change anything
