To make a texture where part of it is see through you need to open the texture in Photoshop. Select the area that needs to be see through, then hit delete. You should see a checkered backround. If you have a backround layer you will get whatever color the backround color is set to, you have to do this with everything compiled into one layer.

I don't have Photoshop but I do have Photostudio which is very much like Photoshop.

Sure, the important thing is that the area be considered empty, there should be some sort of backround pattern.

If that doesn't work for some reason you can always set the alpha to 0

no! then the whole texture is transparent :P :lol:!!
if that doesn't work use the eraser tool :P.
(make sure that when you save it as a png, if it gives you options to 'save background color' or 'save transparencys')

On one layer make the window boarder, then on another layer make the glass, then change the transparency of the glass layer and flatten the image.
