With the editor nearing its preliminary version, we really need someone to get the Custom Levels Loading (http://sourceforge.net/pm/task.php?func=detailtask&project_task_id=49878&group_id=31218&group_project_id=13463) task complete. It's a relatively simple task to complete and I could do it myself but I would like someone else to do it, firstly because it is a great way to gain experience on working with the project (and through that hopefully the confidence and ability to work on more complex tasks). And secondly because I've written a task specification (which is a real pest to write) and if I do the task the specification is somewhat wasted (there's plenty of stuff that needs to be done with no specification written that I could work on).

This is a really great oppertunity to contribute to Hooptie and anyone with Mac OS X's Developer Tools and Project Builder 1.1 can do it. This means you. Plus I'm more than happy to help you wherever you get stuck. So I urge you to be ambitious and jump straight in by posting your name below, then reading the specifications for the task here (http://sourceforge.net/pm/task.php?func=detailtask&project_task_id=49878&group_id=31218&group_project_id=13463) (make sure you get that comment at the end of the specification as well) and then completing the task (asking us whatever questions you desire).

In a worst-case scenario, in which you get completely stuck and don't want to work on the task anymore you can simply hand us back the task, no shame in it, we will be just thankful you gave it your best. But I'll be surprised if that happens.

Please help us. There's a place (or a better place) in the credits for you if you do. And there really is no excuse, including you don't have the time (because this task is short and doesn't need to be completed for at least two weeks).

Mark.

To sign up for this task simply append your name to this thread, related questions are also welcome and posting them doesn't mean you are obligated to complete the task.

I would be happy to give this task a try.

Excellent. :) Just let me know if you need anything, even if it is just a starting point. And (if possible) keep me informed of your progress.

Thank-you ever-so-much for taking on this task,
Mark
