I was wondering, does anyone know if they're any good RPG games for mac in the style of the old Final Fantasy games and other console RPG's? If not, I'd kinda like to try to make one, although I know next to nothing about game making.

I would love to see one, but AFAIK unless you try emulation you're out of luck.

If you can run Mac OS 9 try quest of Yipe http://www.yipesoftware.com/
One of my favorite RPG's (even though I only played the demos)

Meh. Pillars of Garendall is not exactly a RPG. It is more like Diablo - an adventure game where you just point'n click to attack. Besides Avernum and Geneforge (developed by Spiderweb), the Mac doesn't have any RPGs.

I always wanted to make a RPG too, however this type of game requires an unimaginable amount of scripting. It's like writing a novel.

The Avernum series is great, though it's not really console-styled
