bronxbomber92, your intentions are good, and they are appreciated, but there should be some proof that it is legitimately free. Suspiciously, the page numbers don't match my hard copy of the book, which is also the second edition (as pictured in the first page of the pdf you linked), which also has a copyright page which explicitly prohibits this (again, suspiciously absent). While I feel it should be free, we run a clean joint here. Common sense must prevail and this must be pulled down by the moderators unless someone can step up with a release of some sort, in a timely manner. :(

I found what looked to be the "official" home page for the book (in that it was linked to from both Kernighan and Ritchie's home pages) and it made no such mention of a free release :(

Hmm, I was unsure. I figured it was free since it is posted at another (programming) forum that trys to stay as far away from legal issues (like here). They had it stickied, so I thought it was legit. I'll check with the admins, and ask if they have found concrete proof this is available free. Sorry for any confusions.
