Hi all,

I´m almost done with my latest casual game. If you would like to take a look you find it here:

If you find any bugs or spelling errors, please let me know.

All the best,

Malte

wow, I thought it was pretty easy until you started adding more colors. Interesting little game ya got there.

hehe additional colours
You haven't seen anything yet. Frankly I always try to get past the colours as fast as possible, the fun starts when it stops adding colours and adds... other stuff ;)

PS: who's man enough to beat my highscore? (and no, i didn't cheat or used my relations to get that many points)

*cackles* I found a good strategy that lets you go a really long time without easy ways to get stuck

hey, what's your score? I want to know when to give up and stop this game. My score is steadily climbing. You don't get any major double row bonuses, but it's ALMOST impossible to lose.

Edit: There, beat you

:ninja: gameplay spoiler ahead. I suggest to get 7000 to 9000 points before reading on :ninja:

Yes it's easy not to loose, once you get the drift of it. I think I only lost last night because I became braindead due to lack of sleep.

However, what would you suggest to increase the difficulty, and to stop infinite play? I think the problem is that the difficulty actually is reduced with the double stones, while the complexity increases.

So from a "Start simple, increase the complexity later" viewpoint all seems fine, but from a gameplay viewpoint it should start with the complex pieces, and then be reduced to the simpler ones.

Of course there's the undo issue to add onto that...

PS: I'm not gonna try to beat your score

the gameplay would be much harder if you removed 1 column and 1 row.

What a fun game, nice work!

Sorry guys, I'm clearly not up to your high scoring standards, I only managed to reach a paltry 3rd overall so far... :)

Thanks for the feedback!

I always find it the hardest part to make a game both easy and challenging enough to be fun. I will look into the suggestions.

All the best,

Malte

reducing rows and cols by one works nicely. :-)

I will need to rethink the bonus system now though, to make it a bit more rewarding. Will upload a newer version soon.

Thanks again!

Wow the new verison is much harder, resulting in much shorter games. I guess that's good given the target audience.

However I still think it could use some prettier way of saying "this is a web button" then blue underlined text :P

And the preview block is too big. How about masking it with a png hole (you could make it round, matching the other buttons)?
