Hi,

I'm a 6th form student about to take my A Level exams (exams before university in the UK) where I'm predicted 4 As (in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry). I'm looking for a summer job between school and university. I'm going to Imperial College London to study Computing in late September.

Despite not having a degree, I've got quite a lot of experience in programming. I've programmed in C, C++, Objective-C, Java and Lua. I'm well versed in many APIs including OpenGL, some OpenAL, SDL (and various related frameworks such as SDL_image, etc), Cocoa (A Mac API), Unix/Linux/WinSock Networking, Java awt and swing, pthreads.

Some programs I have written can be found on my website(Most are Mac programs): http://www.obfuscated.co.uk/

I also have done work experience, had a programming job and ported and written my own games:

- In the November before my GCSEs I did work experience for a week at a company called “Zonic” who port software (mostly games) to Macs. I wrote a utility program for them to use within the company.

- During the summer between lower and upper sixth, I worked for 5 weeks at a software company, called “Intuwave”, as a QA Engineer. My main role was to write test scripts in a relatively unknown language called “Lua” for some software that was in development.

- Over the past few years I have ported Eternal Lands, Koules and Emilia Pinball to the Mac and I have written one complete game called "Trapped" and one mini game called "Dual Maze". These can all be found on my website.
