Yesterday there was this huge noisy flesh fly buzzing around my imac's screen... I tried to ignore it...

after a while my mac started doing some strange noises...

the fly got in through the upper line-hole and couldn't get out anymore...

I shut down the comp and tried talking it out of it, but no way it could get out (it was pretty huge really, dont know how it got in)

it stayed alive and buzzing for half an hour then it gradually stopped.

I looked for instructions to open the imac but it looks like unlike the older model ones it's a mess to open this, and to access the back you have to pass from the front screen, remove it, remove other stuff...

I dont know what to do... the comp still works for now (though I havent turned it on for much since i dont want the fly to burn), I'm not sure this is covered in the warranty and the mac service guys in my area are not very reliable...

I might just pretend this never happened and hope for the best :sneaky:

It got in the ventilation line at the top? >.< Gross...

What iMac exactly do you have?

That one? You said it's not the older model, so I assume it's not the G4 iMac?

Yeah, the ventilation line at the top. It's a intel mac, not the latest one, the one before.
