Hello all, I've been working on a 2D film and everything is going really well.

I have been looking for something to create it with. Like Flash or Pixel. Does anyone know of anything else besides those? Because I don't think Flash is free and Pixel isn't the best. (slow) :\

Thanks very much!
Patrick

Have you looked at Pencil?

Nope. I'll look it up right now.

Not too bad, it's rather confusing. It doesn't seem to have a definite size. I'll work on it and see.

I'm drawing the everything by hand and scanning it in.

Actually, Pencil is PPC only, so if you have intel, it will have to run in Rosetta, which is pretty processor hungry.

Maybe you want to try Anime Studio 5 for $30 HEre's the special offer (http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_Main.Entry17c?SID=52117&SP=10034&CID=337321&PID=&PN=1&V1=1558308&CUR=840)

Does flash have a free trial?

I tried Anime Studio 5 but it's not what I need. I need something that I can use to make a 2D movie with thats below $50. Is that possible.

Could you be a bit more specific about what features you need?

Sorry, :)

What I do is I paint my background and scan in all the frames. Then I place the frames on the background so I have all the frames with the background.

What I need is something to put all the frames into and set the time.
Thanks.

Flash does have a free trial IIRC, but I find it very bad at dealing with bitmap images.

I can't think of anything better right now, but I'll check what they're using in uni next time I'm in. I suspect it'll be expensive though.

If you have Photoshop, you might be able to batch process all the frames onto the background, and then just use Quicktime Pro or whatever to put all the frames together.

Thanks for all the posts, guys!

I'll check into all theses.
