Project name:
Operation "Get're Done!" (The team will think up a suitable name.)
Brief description:
This game is going to be a Single Player 2D Isometric RPG. The graphics will be an assortment of hand painted art done on the computer. (Think: Odin Sphere, Grim Grimoire, Oboro Muramasa Youtouden)
Target aim:
First: PC(With no Intention to sell or distribute on the PC.)
Second: PS3(We will move to console, after we get sponsorship for our work.)
(We will switch to Devkits once we have gotten them. We will be using our work along the way to lure in sponsors/producers to get it onto a console. But there is no use in just aiming for the console when we have no work done, and no money to do it. So we will start on PC first, do as much of the game as we can until somone recognizes it, then switch over. Possibly of completing on PC first.)
Compensation:
There will only be compensation if we get it onto the market and sell it, the profits will be split according to the percentage of work put into the project.
Technology:
Languages: C and OpenGL ES
Talent needed:
I am in search of an experienced Programmer(s) capable of programing a game for PC then after finished implicate onto platform.
(I would like someone who is as close as possible, in case we need to meet at some point. I Live in Canada, Ontario. It shouldn't be much of a problem, as we would probably meet when we have gotten sponsorship and the game is ready to move to console. So relatively in America (Canada / United States))
Team structure:
(Me/William) - Concept Artist, Graphic Artist, Game Mechanics, Game Documenter, Project Leader
(Unassigned) - Programmer

Character Sprites on a flash game creation project.
We were pretty rushed as he posted for help when there was only a few days left... So I thought.. Why not..
(All sprites and map tiles were started and finished in 48 hours. Not really my best work, but for the time allocated..)

Additional Info:
Game creation has been one of my greatest passions, I've done it practically my whole life. But once I reached my teens I kind of backed off from actually playing games, and worked mostly on documents and designs for my own worlds instead. I'm not a very social person, I spend most of my time actually thinking of ideas, creating game mechanics, and designing characters.. So I may sound weird at times as I don't have allot of people experience, I'm more of a logical person and think only through function, so it is easier for me to actual speak using function then to actually have a normal conversation. As having normal conversations about function without using function to speak, people tend to not understand or misinterpret what I'm saying. But I'm okay with casual talk so don't be discourage to talk to me.
I'm taking time off to actually work on this project. (Limiting myself to 20 Hours a week in my actual job so I have more time to distribute.)
I've been working on game mechanics for a few years now. (Since 2001)
I've been doing graphic art on the computer for some time as well. (Since 1998)
If I'm not Designing my characters and the worlds they live in, I'm in Notepad creating the spell systems and game mechanics that are integrated into the worlds I have created. I plan on using this project as a sort of break out into creating my own game studio. (This will of coarse take time, but everyone starts somewhere.)
Well now that you know a little more about me, lets talk about the game.
This will be my first real project that will be actually playable. I've been working on the layout of this game since last year. The main character designs are all done, there are 8 of them in total. The spell system they will be using is almost complete, I just need to finish naming each spell. (56 Spells in Total / Including Combinations) I'm currently working on the sprite template that I will be using to make all the characters in the game. (As it is Isometric, There will be 8 Views. North, East, South, West, North-East, North-West, South-East, South-West)
There isn't really much else I can say, I will not be giving out specific unique game mechanics until people have settled into the project and it is time to implement them. But if you would like to know more about the game without mechanic specifics, then I will be happy to tell more.
The game will be a classical style RPG, with beautifully hand painted art. The game will be screen scrollable, but will be put together with many individual maps connected together. The battles will start and end on the screen in which the player will be walking. The characters will use team combination attacks to deploy more then half of their spells, this spell system is very simple and easy to learn. The players party will consist of 3 team members, out of 8 characters in total. The character personalities, character designs, character background information, game mechanics, are all set in stone and will not be changed. The full on story and quests to be implemented are not finished yet, and are subject to debate or change. So story ideas are welcome by members of the team if they chose to supply any and will be taken seriously if offered, but are not necessarily required to be in on this project.
The screen resolution: (TV 720p) Sprites/Tiles are drawn on TV scale.
(Playing around with the template to see what it looks like with the clothes and hair on it.)

(Tile Sizings.. These will be used to know limitations for floors, walls, and objects.)
