If any of you are feeeling generous with your time / effort, please help me by beta-testing Minesweeper Challenge.

You can download this directly from http://www.pyramid-productions.net/minesweeper.dmg.sit or http://www.pyramid-productions.net/minesweeper.dmg.hqx

At the moment it is in a (almost) fully functional, but unpolished state. For example there are no manuals etc. etc. However, everything else should be working. There are a few features I feel should be explained at this point.

As well as offering normal minesweeper play, the game also has a 'Challenge' mode, where you compete against the clock in a series of levels and score points based on levels completed and time bonuses. There is also an online score submission system. This should be offered automatically when you get a high score. To view the high scores go to www.pyramid-productions.net/highscores.php . NB it is possible to 'flag' a square on the board by CTRL-clicking on it to remind you that there is a mine there.

As well as looking for errors, I would also welcome comments on the game design. Are the levels to hard or too easy? Does the game perform OK on your computer? Are there anymore features you would like to see added?

If you find errors (and I'm sure you will!) please provide the following info:

Computer System Specification
Nature of the Error
Possible cause / events leading up to the error

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Um, you're aware that if you close the high-scores window, the game quits?

Thanks, I'll sort that one out. I did actually know now you come to mention it, but had kind-of forgotten :)

I think you shouldn't put in the zeros. They make it hard to focus on the other numbers. I suggest you just make zero squares white.
