Is there any way I can recruit a small group of non-programmer beta testers?

Well, we've got sound engineers, music composers, and game designers. Maybe they can help.
Do you mean as in absolutely no programming experience? I know a little bit of BASIC and Java, but I can only do things such as Arrays/ArrayLists, print this and that, calculate this and that, take in data and output something else, no graphics and sounds whatsoever, if-then statements.... i guess that's probably too much programming experience for what you may be looking for.

Well, basically, I need a deadhead gamer who is not concerned with hurting my feelings. I need to see if one can "comprehend" the game and see how far off it is, without my help. This, at the request of Kemal Yun.
Microbian needs something to make it click, but I don't know what it is. None of my beta testers can seem to put a pin on it either.

I'm a pretty hardcore gamer. When I have the time, I'm out fraggin' peeps in FPSes and playing games on all platforms from past and present. I can jump into games and master them in minutes. No game too hard. I've seen all sorts of games and learned the ideas and backgrounds of many games. I've played plenty of crappy one's and I've played plenty of masterpieces. I can tell the difference. Maybe I could give Microbian a try?

All right, what your address? I'll send you a link.
Like I said before, I need to know whats not quite right.
Be warned, however, its 2D and features home-brew graphics. I'm currently trying my darndest to fix the latter. :)

Give me a week or two and I'll give you a diagnoses. And it will not be a problem to ignore graphics.

The best thing you can do is get it and throw it to the wolves on VT:D
You' ll learn fast what they want :sneaky:, if you survive them...

Yeah, but its a beta intended for sale, what is standard copy protection in that case?
And yes, I've lived through the wolf attack once already. :(
