Sometimes it's difficult to understand exactly what's happening on the Korean peninsula. Could North Korean leader Kim Jong Il attach nuclear payloads to his Taepo-Dong missiles? Will South Korean president Roh Moo Hyun's "sunshine" policy of engagement bring peace? Will North Korea release the hostages it took from Japan in the 1970s? What is with Kim's haircut? Only time, and this game, will tell.

Harbour a secret desire to set up South Korea's President Roh the bomb, for Great Justice? Enjoy waving at parades? Can't keep your hands off your Taepo-Dong?

If so, then you'll enjoy Kimdom Come (http://www.thedailygrind.net/software/KimdomCome.html), theDailyGrind's latest triumphant game.

Use your Flying Dong 2 missiles to fend off detente with the puppets of the south. With Roh & his "sunshine" policy out of the way, you won't have to suffer his donations of food and oil ever again! Blasting aid, waving at parades, eliminating traitors, destroying your own cities... it's fun! fun! fun! north of the DMZ.

I got a "subscript out of range" or some such error after playing for a few minutes...

Hmmm... haven't had that in ages... I'll go back to the lab... an if that doesn't work, I'll double the dimensions I give each array. :p

What were you doing at the time? e.g. were cities exploding, or firing a missile, etc.

I have a few ideas about what it might be, but can't reproduce it at the moment.

Also, did your monitor resolution correctly reset to 1024x768?

I was just shooting... don't think anything was currently colliding with anything. Not so's I recall, anyway.

Pretty sure my monitor rez switched correctly during the game.

Damain, just check all your array-checkers :)

Oh, I'm working on that. Bumping up the dimensions is a last resort thing. I would prefer erratic behaviour to crash-to-desktop.

Has anyone else had a subscript-out-of-range error playing the game?

Man, photographs in games are so not normal. You're not a game developer, you're some kind of artist, aren't you? Admit it! You are using games to put forth ideas. What a lot of nerve! Stop trying to educate me about the world.

You just wait until my forthcoming Cocoa title "Who wants to be Reserve Bank Governor"! Mwahahaha!

Seriously, thanks for being intrigued by my games.

From the Apple OS X downloads people:

"We have decided not to use your submission due to the current political climate."

Is Apple really banking on more G5 sales to North Korea? Or is the company a front for the DPRK?

Aren't they "officially" banned from selling their powerful computers to certain countries? Or was that thing ever lifted?

There you have it. Apple are a bunch of pinkos seeking to corrupt the purity of our bodily fluids.

We can only hope Kim's rocket scientists use AppleWorks.

Maybe Steve Jobs has a problem with Australians. He was probably upset when they didn't refund his ticket for Kangaroo Jack.

Ok, I'd like to apologise for Kangaroo Jack. Our government has a cultural law providing tax breaks for films made in Australia, to the tune of 100%. It used to be 150%, and when it was cut the domestic film industry told us it was cultural vandalism and then some rant about John Howard and George Bush being dickheads. Alas, not only does this confer immunity from the market's censure, encouraging people to make films no-one would want to see, but the convolutions of the tax laws here mean that it is often in the producer's interest for the film to lose money.

So, keep that in mind when you watch Australian films, and don't judge us too harshly.

Actually, our moving/talking picture industry is an interesting example of how a flagrant industrial subsidy worsens cultural output, rather than improving it as the lobby group claims. And to round it all off, producers of cultural product are beholden to unelected, ideological bodies like the Australia Council. And I'm paying for it. Maybe I should apply for a grant. (Looks at form...) Hmmm... is a computer game a: a) ballet; or b) cathartic exploration of American Imperialist aggression against 3rd world children?

I'd also like my money back for that Yahoo Serious movie.

Just go watch Road Warrior again and the scales of justice will be balanced.
