If anybody out there cares, I've just released a few quick and dirty image conversion tools to help with homebrew GBA dev.
Anyways, taken from the docs.Ö
These tools are for the conversion of (hopefully) any type of image supported by QuickTime into a 1D u16 array in a C-language header file for GBA screen mode 3. They should be a help to anybody doing homebrew GBA dev on Mac OS X.

I don't know how many people on this forum are interested in GBA dev., but I've updated the image conversion tools I released a few days ago; changes in this update are :
may now convert images to paletted 16bit for GBA screen modes four + five.
slashed size of temporary files by ~60%;
implemented checks on the user's input;
now appends '.h' suffix to header files produced;
slashed time taken to convert images by ~300%.

How much does it cost to get the hardware to go from the computer to the GBA + reusable test cartridges ?
I know alot of devs here could make commercial quality games for the GBA

I'm interested in GBA-dev but I don't have a dev kit for the Mac or anything else to work with. If someone wrote a tutorial or something, I'd try. But other than that, no way.
The old flash cartridges at Lik-Sang would've been very useful for development, but too bad there wasn't any Mac software nor did most people use it in a legal manner.
Your only hope is Nintendo themselves.

Joseph, this (http://gnufoo.org/gba/) is the compiler I've been using, but I don't know of any others for MacÖ
applekid, try The PERN Project (http://www.thepernproject.com/index2.htm), probably the best source of tutorialsÖ

Thank you sealfin for the info and thank you Jake for the support.
One question, is there any Mac to cart hardware that doesn't require VPC? I want to use my real GBA (if I ever create a game :cool: ) instead of emulators.
