If anyone has a PC can you please test mine and Daniel Lurie's game Escape on it? Its about 90% ported (missing registration and music), and I would like to know how it runs on different PCs. Here is the download URL

(if you click this right after I posted its not done uploading yet :p)

Thanks!

Hum I noticed a bug that the guards that walk around don't walk through the up in down blocks. They should walk through the ones that are down but not the ones that are up.

On Windows XP, the main screen entirely reloads (without a buffer) every time you move the mouse over a button.

It starts at level 2.

The volume, etc. stuff at the bottom is cut off and there's a white 'window outline' around the screen.

After pressing the Main Menu button the entire game screen went white. Had to Ctrl-Alt-Delete.

BTW, did Daniel port it for you? :)

What res do you run at?

Stupid question, but: You have quicktime installed on your PC?

I was debugging level 2 and left that as the default. Whoops.

Sorry Daniel, I forgot my browser crashed while typing the post before.

I ran at 1024x768 and yeah I have QT.

Jake: Erm... if I could I would

To take a screenshot hold down PrtScr (and control, I think.) This puts the screen image on the clipboard. Then paste it.

Technically you need to paste the screenshot into some kind of imaging app...MS Toilet-paint or something like that.

Then you need to save, and probably email or host on your server.

You would think windows would have print to file by now no?

Jake, be sure you have mirrors for your app when you release on windows. Remember the PC market is gigantic, your web host can be overwhelmed very quickly.

I see I'm not the only insomniac in North Jersey, let alone the only insomniac 2 minutes from the Passaic River...

The final beta of the Escape PC port is done. If you'd like to help Jake test this thing out, get it from here. (http://nuclearnova.com/escapepcbeta.zip)

Feedback is most appreciated.

To run it you need:
A PC (surprising.)
Quicktime
With regards to Quicktime, you need to have Quicktime Music installed to hear the music. The standard PC install doesn't appear to include it. Some folks need to do a custom (or full) install.
