Finally got around to getting http://www.toysight.com up and running with some early screenshots and a quick video clip of a couple of the games :)

That IS cool. I don't know how long I could keep my arms up like that though. :wuss:
Is it possible to track the player's hands anywhere in the iSight image, or just along the sides?

Damn, now that is going to be fun!
I definitely don't make enough use of my iSight at the moment... looks like that'll be changing in the near future! :D
Excellent work guys, can't wait to play it!

In the chatroom Zwilnik said that the program tracks movement in three different zones: left hand, head, and right hand. He also mentioned some of the other games, like an owl game where you have to flap your hands to fly.
Sounds really fun, and I'd imagine it would be pretty great arm exercise, especially holding a weight in each hand.
And there definitely needs to be a plug-in system so other people can develop mini-games for it. :)

I might have to consider iSight now. Have broadband and now ToySight. Sounds good.
Is this anyway related to that PS2 camera device and game? (EyeSight, I think it's called)

Hopefully we'll be finished soon. This weekend's the final tidy up :)
Last weekend's final tally of games left us with 9 games and 3 Toys, which is more than we initially hoped would make the cut, although one or 2 of them got dramatically renamed or restyled :)

ToySight uses a similar idea to eyeToy in that both are based off the idea of motion detection based games started back in the Amiga days but it's something we developed independently without seeing eyeToy in action.
ToySight is very different though from eyeToy in the type of games it plays and also in the methods used to do the motion detection, so if you've got a PS2 as well as a Mac, get both so you get all the game types :)
