Has anyone of you tried Cheetah3D, a new 3D modelling app? Considering the price I was very impressed with the possibilities. Modelling is very intuive and a lot of fileformats can be imported and exported.
I was finally able to import my ZBrush meshes and export them as a 3DMF file.

Yes, Its a really nice modeler. Its easy to use, and makes nice models. Its great for my games, getting low poly count objects. I don't think it has a renderer though.

It reminds me of a very simplified Cinema 4D. Just in the way it models.

Does it have a decent UV mapper? If so I'm already sold.

I seemed to have trouble with using the UV mapper. But I am running one of the betas. It looks alright, if I could get it working. I'm using UVX to map all my models, so I can't really say.

I think its a great modeler for the price though. If it will be continued to be updated, with new features, then I'll probably buy it.

It just went 1.0, does not have a renderer (beta 1 had a raytracer, but it was removed,) and you cannot (yet) apply more than one material to the same object.

That aside, it is extremely powerful for a $60 app and will only get better with time.
