Hello everyone,
I'd like to invite anyone interested to try out KGA Golf version 1.2, the new version I hope to release soon.
For Mac OS X: http://trapzero.com/Downloads/kgagolf-12-osx.sit
For Mac OS 7-9: http://trapzero.com/Downloads/kgagolf-12-ppc.sit
New features in this version include:
* a vastly improved Hole & Course Editor, and now with even a tutorial
* a new "Target Golf" mode that has the player aiming for a target and trying to get as close to a bullseye, hoping for big points
* a lot of new course maps that were not included with earlier versions (that's why these .sit files are 6MB instead of ~4MB)
* a high scores list that actually works
* the usual bug fixes and such
Please let me know what you think of it, I'd really appreciate it - especially if you find a nasty bug!

Hi again everyone,
I would really appreciate some feedback about this new version of my game. If you have a little time to try it out, I'd really like to hear your thoughts - honest thoughts, too, whether they're good, bad, or ugly!
I just posted a slightly newer build (probably the final release) a couple hours ago, so if you could try it out and let me know your opinion (and especially if you found any big bugs), you'd definitely be my hero for the day!
Thanks,
Karl

Im sorry funkboy - I was playing it and forgot to post.
Fun game. I cant find any bugs. Thank you for letting me play in a window as opposed to only full-screen. The interface is solid. No crashes. Speed is acceptable and runs fine on my G4/400 Rage128 w/ Panther. It feels like a fairly professional job.
Im not a big golf fan in either computer or analog form - so Im the wrong person to say if it will be a hit or not. I really like the editor - hopefully that will give it some more life if users make their own courses. I wish you could zoom in and out tho - but I realize that would probably be too much of a pain to be worth it.
The only minor possible bug I found is when I quit the editor a dialog box flashes briefly as if its trying to say something (maybe asking if I want to save?) - but then the editor quits before I can read it.
Good luck with KGA - I hope you get lots of regs!

Hi Codemattic,
thanks very much for trying out the game. Glad you enjoyed it!
Good observation about the editor quit bug. That is kind of unprofessional, or at least makes a user wonder, "What did I just miss?!"
It's actually just a registration reminder, bugging you to "go buy my game!"
So far my game has been popular, actually, so this new version is just an upgrade for existing users and a way to hopefully attract more people to make their own courses.
Do you think the Target Mode should have more flash, for instance, when you get a bullseye? I hope to add that, but I wonder if I should add it before I release the game (and delay it a few weeks) or just release it as is. I think I'm just going to release it as is now.
Thanks for playing!
