while Hooptie is being re-visited, we should start brainstorming for the next project.
as per the polls, it's going to be a side-scrolling shooter (i still think we should put some lemmings in there, for good measure :D ).
also, if anyone is interested in starting an official design document once we have some of the features laid out, send an email to carlos (editor@idevgames.com).

...or simply use the contact form on the Inkubator page.
If I can dig up my mock-ups for insect sprites, I would donate them. I might have lost them though. :(
We said side scroller. An idea that is way overdue is Zaxxon. Since we have pixel-art lovers here, and a recent thread on isometric design, it would be very neat.

How about a fast-paced side-scroller platformer like Sonic the Hedgehog, featuring a lovable penguin ala Hooptie.
Or, a platformer ala Abuse with ice world, fighting evil robots, lovable penguin character, gushy Hooptie like graphics, realistic physics.

I think a fast paced penguin side scroller could be very cool.... Hooptie constantly sliding on ice, and can penguin slide to go under things and knock stuff (bad guys) over, or can slide on his feet at a slow pace and be able to jump (and even flap his wings for a little little bit of lift) ... and can, of course, switch between sliding on his feet and sliding on his belly. And why not keep the evil robot aliens too? :-)

Now thats my kind of game. Anything with a penguin I'll contribute. Also, a bonus level where you get to push people off a cliff into the water to test if there are sharks! If i have some time from uDev, i'll write up a design doc.
