hi. i am just finishing writing QuickShell (http://fuckup.homeunix.net/~mutle/?projects_quickshell ), and I am in the need for an Application Icon and a Menubar icon. If any of the artists here could make one, would be great. (you will be credited in the about window, readme, website, ... :) )
the application will be released under GPL btw.

You might want to avoid command-space, since that's a kinda crucial piece of the standard UI... looks like a handy utility though.
Nope, sorry, not an artist :)

i don't have time to actually make anything right now, i have a few other projects of my own i'm working on but i thought of a very litteral logo idea if you want it. An egg with rabbit legs and rabbit ears attached, "quick"+"shell", like i said that's pretty litteral but I think would be simple enough for a logo and easy to spot when reduced.

Of course you can define the Hotkeys :))

This is what my attempt looks like...

If it somehow violates Apple-Icon-Standards, please tell me.

hey not bad, i think a side pose rather than a front on pose would work better, so that if it is say a menu item, it won't get washed out. Or if you shrink it down it won't get washed out, you coulkd see the silloutte. Also a side shot of the legs out would imply action, not a stationary pose. I think most people respond to action as something working or doing something not just standing around. Keep it up i want to see the finial project.
