Following a discussion on IRC last night, here is a thread for people to post photos of themselves so we can all see what a bunch of ugly folk are there, hiding behind their screen names!

Let me see who I remember from the 2002 class...
Do you remember Matt Garrison? Colin Arndt? Matt Bielich? Gordy Stephenson? Shane Squires? and of course I can't forget Joey Cienian.
Those are mostly the guys I remember.

Longjumper's name truly fits. I'd like to see some IDs of the guys holding the beer.
ThemsAllTook first picture looks like that European cartoon character.. begins with an A.
Dan looks like he has drank 3 cases of Jolt Cola, but needs more to finish game #35.
I'm using Photoshop to zoom up in lightbringer's picture so I can see where he is hiding in the tall grass. That is some serious "Predator" like camo you have.
Blobbo could "almost" pass for Harry Potter. ;)
Daniel_Lurie in a tiny genie living in some sort of soda can. Who is holding the can you live in? ;)
aarku, it is strange you should say that because when I first came to Japan. The first 3 people I met -- by chance -- were from your state!
I wanted to post an updated picture of me, but they won't let me have a digital camera in jail.

Everyone in Wisconsin plays a high school sport and meets people through that, it's like a rule or something. And since there are only 3-4 big cities, you get to know people somehow.

I'm a photographer in my spare time sometimes. The camera was set with flash on and a low shutter speed. Most digital cameras in night-shot mode do this. It is meant for a non-moving subject and to be used with a tripod. In theory, the flash should light up the subject to define it against the background, which is exposed more slowly because the flash won't get it generally (hence the long exposure). If the subject is moving while the photo is taken, the flash will catch it (it won't be blurred), but when the subject continues to move the background will expose behind it. I am willing to bet that you were moving your hand in that photo.
I have done some interesting things with night-shot mode. Use and and make your friends jump into the frame just as you take the photo. They will fall back out of the frame as after the flash but before the background is done exposing. It will appear that they have an apparition just floating in midair. For example (with no tripod):
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v469/jakemcarthur/GhostRobert.jpg
BTW, the guy on the left came here a few times in the past. His name was sl33pl3ss I think, but it may have been coasterfreak. Anyways, he will probably be back later. He is a switcher and has been learning some Cocoa lately.
I'm still working on switching the other guy (my roommate). Seriously, I switched most of my friends already.
